Mowe becomes the 79th Branch of The Nigerian Society of Engineers AS Engr. Adesanoye emerge as its Maiden Chairman

By Gideon Tobiloba The Nigerian Society of Engineers continues to grow in size and strength as another branch was added to its already widely circulated branch network in Nigeria. Mowe, a town in Ogun state that borders Ogun and Lagos state became the 79th branch of the Society. The new branch was formed by engineers who believe there should be one in the Mowe and Ibafo environs, and it was inaugurated by the national president himself in person of Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu FNSE who particularly came to launch the new branch. In his opening address, he started by congratulating the new branch members for their hardwork. He emphasized that, engineers resident in some other communities have tried in the past to be inaugurated like this but failed. He said their application for a branch to be formed at Mowe enjoyed early success and he is not surprised they have gone this far in a very while. Experts believe elecrricity kills more than many diseases in Nigeria today calling for prompt action on electricity safety. COREN TO REGISTER MORE ENGINEERS

By Gideon Tobiloba The Council for the Registration of Engineering in Nigeria in a bid to register more qualified engineering practitioners in Nigeria has concluded plans to conduct professional interview for eligible engineers. This professional interview is scheduled to hold at different geopolitical zones in the country. The professional interview is a procedure individuals trained in engineering must go through before they can be referred to as engineers and have licence to practice as engineers. The exercise which started in Abuja on the 3rd of October moved to Lagos where hundreds of engineers were assembled to be tested during the precess.
