As part of the policies of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) Engr. Adeyemi Kings FNIEEE, Vice Chairman of the institute,, in a private chat with the Engineering Today News Crew, elaborated on the need for NIEEE to continue to package an event like ICEPT. He said, they are at the forefront of the advocacy of power for all and strongly believe employment of renewable energy is the way to go.

He also said, while addressing the undergraduates, that the future of the world is purely digital and no one can run away from ir. It has to be embraced and explored in order for a country to be able to meet up with the rest of the world. He talked to them about AI, Robotics, IoT, etc, encouraging them to factor these in their daily thinking and operation in order to be influence cars of the world.

Exhibition was not left out as companies from different sectors, from the power sector to the renewable energy companies, to textile, to fashion and etc were all on ground to display their innovations, products and wares. All products on display are mostly made in Nigeria products which are of high quality and life span. This years exhibition has shown that there is no limit to what engineers , especially from the electrical and electronic division can achieve.

Papers are delivered during the technical sessions as the day two of the International Conference gets hotter. Papers representing creative ideas, innovations and more knowledge impartation are the order of the day. Several areas are covered ranging from big data, artificial intelligence, robotics, future of works, internet of things and many more. Undergraduates are not left our either in the ongoing all-encompassing International Conference. Young and enterprising entrepreneurs were employed to educate the undergraduates on the technics of writing project/thesis, doing research and writing technical reports.

To cap it all, outstanding engineers who have made remarkable impact are rewarded with the highest title of the institute. These meritorious engineers were conferred the title of fellows and they join the league of several other engineers oppoetuned to be adorned with this highly prestigious title. The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers has shown once again, in this years International Conference and Exhibition on Power and Communications, that Nigeria can achieve whatever it is set to achieve be it in the power sector or the telecommunications or every other sector that is needed to grow the economy digitally and also grow the people.

In his welcome address at the fellowship conferment ceremony, Engr. The 2019 ICEPT will definitely be remembered for its top notch technical contents derived from the event as a whole and itbis hoped that Nigeria will tap into this and achieve the power for all within the next few years and we also the next edition will strive on the landmark made by this year's.
