Dr. Atinuke Owolabi, Chairperson of the APWEN Lagos Chapter, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the association’s support for the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's "Own a Garden" Competition. She made these remarks during the APWEN Lagos Chapter's 2024 Public Lecture, Award Ceremony, and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos. Asia, Europe, America, Africa and other continents have had their own share of damages in human lives caused by COVID 19 and the future still looks bleak for many. Medical practitioners are still struggling to understand this virus before coming up with a permanent cure but while the research goes on, WHO has come up with various precautionary measures to be taken in order to curb it's spread some of which are social distancing, regular washing of hands, not touching ones mouth, nose, eyes with unsanitized hands, keeping a clean environment and many more.
